RAM CLOTHING
RAM clothing is a clothing line i had set up from the start of the year in my own time when not at universtiy or working on other projects out of university such as the work i do for Major the music label me and my friends have made.
Ram clothing is a clothing i had created with skaters and the BMX scene in mind.
I had started RAM CLOTHING up as i wanted to have a business set up of my own and so it would be seperate from Major the music label i am a part off out of university. I was inspired to set this up when i was in Pete's lectures on a monday morning and also when we had a lecture from university students who had set up there own businesses through university but i wanted to do my clothing company this year slowly in my own time and being able to find my own way of doing things and setting it up my self has given me a few lessons i will carry with me in life.
LOGO
For my logo of Ram clothing i had chosen to call it Ram clothing as i wanted the entire clothing line/ company to be shown as strong, and hard headed. Hence the ram in the logo and the name.
The design for the logo took a little while for me to get right until i was happy with it and i had created a few styles before being happy with the logo as it is now. Once i was happy with the logo i had to then create the rest of the corporate identity, such as a letter head for the company i was setting up and also a business card.
BUSINESS CARD
The business card i had come up with is shown above. The idea behind the design is to be simple and for everything to be readable. These were the first few principles i had set out nd used to design the design for the business card.
1. keep all your key copy at least 5mm from the trim edge
2.work at 300dpi for best image reproduction3. ensure you maintain a minimum size for your typography to maintain legibility
4. design in CMYK unless you’re working exclusively with spot colours
LETTER HEAD
For the letter head i wanted to keep it nice and simpple and looking as simple as i could, like i did with the business card. Another reason i kept it simple is because i was thinking of the price when it comes to printing. It also still leaves so much space for the actuall letter its self.
