CHARACTER FOR PACKAGING & MOVEMENT - TASK 3

Generating Package Prototype

In this workshop I would be focusing on printing out my cereal prototype, and proofing it for any errors or imperfections which may have come out in print. Through printing out a prototype I could be saving any unexpected cost which could have occurred when printing the final piece. Bellow is an image of the net design that I sent to the printer which has been developed through my idea generation in earlier stages of this module.

  1. I began with confirming the size of my file making sure it was roughly A2 size, from this I placed my design into a template ready for print.
  2. Once my net was printed onto thin card I began to cut it out using a scalpel and a cutting mat.
  3. I then folded the net together to form the mock up cereal box and glued all the correct sides together.
  4. After my design was complete I photographed my outcome which is shown below
