THEORY AS PRACTICE 2 - SEMINAR LECTURE

Annotating Text

In this seminar the group had to bring a text of 200 words or below which related to three topics of our new collide brief. These were the Internet, happiness or our future self. I decided to bring in a quote I had discovered from The Guardian newspaper on The Internet of Things. The idea of gathering this text was to then annotate it in the seminar and decipher its meaning, bringing possible new ideas and questions from the text. In the seminar we were split up into groups of three. In these groups we then took turn to read our text to each other. We then annotated our text and gave input to other group members to make sure nothing is left out. Our texts can be seen below.

Overall I found this seminar to be very helpful in understanding the new brief. It allowed me to decipher the three topics. From this I have found The Internet of Things to be a very interesting subject and also happiness in the design practice.
